A western RPG worth playing

I've heard and read quite a bit about the original Deus Ex, but I never actually played it, so I went into Deus Ex - Human Revolution with no real expectations, just a hope that it could live up to it's extremely cool announcement trailer. Thankfully, it did that and more.

Human Revolution does what a lot of RPGs set out to do, but few actually accomplish, and that's have a legitima... read more

After being burned by the sexed-up sequel to Deus Ex, one of the greatest games in history, I was skeptical about the much-hyped prequelโ€”but this game really hooked me; quite subversively, in that before anything else I found myself actually caring about my character, Adam Jensen, and found it easy to relate to him and his situation. The way his past seems to be mirrored in the situations heโ€™s... read more

I love stealth-based games, and this is a marvelous example of how to do stealth gameplay right. Mix in an interesting lead character, a fascinatingly believable science-fiction near-future setting, and add a dash of conspiracy, and you've got one amazing game. The boss fights were a bit of a let-down, but not enough to deter me from thoroughly enjoying myself.

Games I Beat in 2016 (26 games items)

"March 14th I want to go back and read all the e-mails and do the side quests that I missed because the story is great in this game, and I barely paid attention because that's what I do in video games. The levels are designed really well, I realized this when you spend a lot time working through a room and then it takes seconds to run through it on the way back. Great stealth game."
