Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX - PC Games

The layout of the game is excellent, using an angled, top-down perspective. The level props, like ramps and tables, are varied throughout, and the number of tricks players can pull off is substantial. Plus, everything is animated nicely and looks sharp. Also, like Tony Hawk for Game Boy, players are asked to perform tasks, making this title more than just spins and grinds.

If this were all there were to a game, then Dave Mirra would be a hit. Unfortunately, control also comes into play and this is where things get a bit dicey. The learning curve for this game is steep, and pulling off tricks can be somewhat of a hassle. It also takes a lot of practice and patience to master the combos in this game.
