DanceDanceRevolution: New Moves features a new mode where players can use the DDR Dance Mat Controller together with Playstation Move, moving their upper and lower body in time with the symbols that appear on screen. The players have to hit the arrow symbols with the correct steps on the dance mat while guiding a ball of light to the corresponding arrow using the PlayStation Move Motion Controller.

The PlayStation Move Motion Controller is also used to vary the symbols on screen: Combine key presses and movements to create additional visual effects.
