The game begins in the year 2062, 15 years after the events of Tiberium Wars which led to the invasion of the Scrin. In the aftermath of the incidents, Tiberium has advanced to the next evolutionary stage and is rapidly spreading across Earth causing more of it to be uninhabitable. "To be fair, Tiberian Twilight wasn't originally meant to be part of the main Command & Conquer series; it was just a small, multiplayer game.
