A dire game with little thought put into it

Warning: SpoilersI had very high hopes for C&C4 as many a long-term C&C fan did. It was after all the game that was supposed to tie up a 15-year long story arc that had engrossed many millions of players. The game itself is actually of very poor quality - you only need to read the reviews on Amazon. Suffice to say the entire prior fan base has been ignored with changes to the game mechanic... read more

The game begins in the year 2062, 15 years after the events of Tiberium Wars which led to the invasion of the Scrin. In the aftermath of the incidents, Tiberium has advanced to the next evolutionary stage and is rapidly spreading across Earth causing more of it to be uninhabitable. At this time of crisis the legendary leader of the Brotherhood of Nod, Kane, reemerges and heads straight for the headquarters of the Global Defense Initiative.

Suffice to say the entire prior fan base has been ignored with changes to the game mechanics that change the very nature of the game to the degree where it ceases to be a C&C game. However the biggest surprise is just how poor it is and how badly designed from the offset.

The game forces you to use a tiny unit-capped army of fewer units even than that you would use in say Company of Heroes (about ten or so), and then designs the game around a number of controllable checkpo” read more

"To be fair, Tiberian Twilight wasn't originally meant to be part of the main Command & Conquer series; it was just a small, multiplayer game. It was only when EA got heavily involved in development that the game became an actual sequel to Tiberium Wars. The end result was a game very different from its predecessors. The ending was the icing on the cake: Kane is about to leave Earth using the Scrin tower. He convinces Commander Parker to activate it for him. Parker is shot by Colonel James (who w"
