Most of the games stress simple recognition of letters, such as a xylophone game, where the computer plays a sequence of lettered keys, which kids must duplicate. There's also a leaf game, where a basket is marked with a letter, which kids must use to catch a leaf with that same letter on it. Other games teach a bit more, such as a soup game that helps kids to spell small words, and a memory game that has them trying to remember which bubbles contain which letters.

Blue's Alphabet Book contains some fun music and a small amount of voice acting, but the youngest children will need a parent to help them name the letters and sound out the words they spell.
