Galina Kirillova

Russian ballerina. Kirillova was born in Ekaterinenburg and studied at the Vaganova School (class of Agrippina Vaganova). in 1942 she joined the Kirov Ballet where she danced most of the classical roles like Odette-Odile (Swan Lake), title role in Raymonda, Gamzatti (La Bayadere), Maria (Fountain of Bakhchisarai), Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) etc. She was a strong lyrical dramatic dancer and also had a talent for comic roles. From 1956 she worked as a teacher.
