LG G4

Here it is, in all its Rear Key glory. LG's 2015 flagship continues to evolve the hardware design language seen with the Optimus G, and promises to offer some healthy competition for the other big names this year. The G4 keeps the rear button layout that has become a staple in LG devices, adding three ceramic and six leather options for the backplate — which you'll be glad to hear is both removable and replaceable.

LG has wrapped a 5.5-inch Quad HD IPS Quantum Display, 3000mAh battery, 16MP rear camera with OIS and 8MP front camera, and a microSD card slot around Qualcomm's Snapdragon 808 processor with 3GB of RAM. While there's plenty of questions left to be answered regarding the capabilities of the Snapdragon 808 and how LG's new Android 5.1-based software will stack up against the other offerings currently available, on paper this looks like a flagship worth taking quite seriously.

Everything you want to know about the G4, from the way the new leather backs look and feel to the differences found in LG's version of Android and how great or terrible they end up being, will live right here. 2015 so far has been full of incredible, well implemented ideas stacked against painful compromises. The LG G4 looks like it might be our best look at a complete thought for 2015, rear buttons and all.
