Fran Kirchmair was born on 7 October 1996 in Linz, Austria. She grew up in Carinthia, Austria until the age of eleven when she moved to Geneva, Switzerland. From then on she attended Institut Le Rosey and moved to London upon graduation to study economics. In late 2016, she began working with acting coach Bernard Hiller and shortly after Fran moved to Los Angeles. In Los Angeles she attended Pepperdine University where she pursued a degree in Film and Television Production.
