8.7. (THREE TIMES) These obscure technical thrash metal albums from the late 80's are the best. They are way, and I mean WAY more interesting than your average thrash. Powermad were a very short-lived band that released only one album back in the day, but what amazing burst of energy that album was. Even David Lynch digged their style and had some in one of his films, Wild at Heart to be exact. Now that I listened to this, I think the distinctive technical drumming is what sets this thing apart from most other similar bands. I think classic Megadeth is the closest to Powermad in that sense. Dave Mustaine probably didn't allow the cliche thrash fills on purpose to stand out from the masses.
