A film producer runs into trouble when an actress leaves his production in the middle of filming, but the film producer gets the chance to replace her with an artificial intelligence model. It might seem absurd that audiences would be impressed by a totally fake and made up character like Simone, even though reality can be absurd at times and in reality people are obsessed by way more ridiculous things. Today, in an era of advanced artificial intelligence technology, the film feels more believable than when it was released. The real problem with the film is not its lack of realism, but rather that its satire is not particularly daring, and the film does not address the problems associated with the use of modern technology in any more than a superficial way.
