Darth Brutus added 1 item to Curse of the Music Diary (2025) list
14.6.
You can't tell me I didn't give a fair try or get outside my comfort zone. This is great on paper, since there's a lot of influences and different genres creatively mixed here. But then again, I would much rather have something I can just pick up and enjoy instead of needing to read some special description or philosophy to find any enjoyment out of music. Like maybe you just like something and then find out later it's somehow special or smart.
In many ways this album has a lot of things I really hate in modern music, like the overuse of autotune, too much reliance on boom bass, lyrics you can't understand and shit. I know many people can't enjoy grindcore or other extreme metal genres, so I guess this is the same for me. This sounds too lifeless and plastic for my ears, I need more organic human elements.

NOTES: A good-looking blow-up print, albeit one in a condition that renders it a challenge to project in focus, as shown on a brief couple of occasions and the majority of the first reel. Some vertical wear is visible when Dylan arrives and performs at Royal Albert Hall.
