Description: Emeraude Toubia was born in Canada and raised in Brownsville, Texas. She is of Mexican and Lebanese descent. Toubia's career began at age ten on a Televisa program, specifically as a presenter on Mundo de Niños, along with other small TV appearances. An only child, Emeraude began working when she was sixteen, at smoothie shops, at shoe and clothing stores. However, since childhood, Emeraude has been attracted to the entertainment and competed in several beauty contests, crowned Miss South Texas, RGV Miss America, Miss Teen Brownsville, and also competed in Miss Texas USA 2010, among others. Toubia's career began at age ten on a Televisa program, specifically as a presenter on Mundo de Niños, along with other small TV appearances. An only child, Emeraude began working when she was sixteen, at smoothie shops, at shoe and clothing stores. However, since childhood, Emeraude has been attracted to the entertainment and competed in several beauty contests, crowned Miss South Texas, RGV Miss America, Miss Teen Brownsville, and also competed in Miss Texas USA 2010, among others. She has idolized artists like Paulina Rubio, Shakira and Whitney Houston from a young age. She has also been dancing since she was 14 years old.

Emeraude first became widely known in 2008, when she was selected to participate in the second season of the Univision reality show/beauty pageant Nuestra Belleza Latina, where the participants were trained rigorously in acting, presenting, dancing and other activities, and she was voted to and finished as first runner-up. Since then, she has been featured in ads, campaigns and commercials for world renowned brands such as Maybelline, JC Penney, State Farm, Garnier Fructis and Sony, AT&T, among others, as well as major publications such as Tempo, Hola!, Panorama, Estilo and many more. She also began her training in acting afterwards, hoping to get to Hollywood and make films or series in English. She also began presenting for the channel mun2, hosting its mun2 Arena, 18 & Over, and mun2 ¡pop! shows.

In 2013, Emeraude made her acting debut in Miami, where she settled in 2010, with guest starring role of "Elizabeth" on Nickelodeon Latin America's youth telenovela 11-11: En mi cuadra nada cuadra, for which she was coached by Oscar-nominee actress Adriana Barraza. She also performed three songs for the official soundtrack. She also appeared as Dulce Rincón on the Venezuelan telenovela Univisión-Venevision production Costa Linda in 2014, and as Estefania/Stefi on Voltea Pa'Que Te Enamores, the US remake of a Venezuelan telenovela. She was also a guest on the entertainment show Tu Dia Alegre.

During this time, Emeraude was constantly linked to musician Prince Royce.

In 2015, she was cast as Isabelle Lightwood for ABC Family's upcoming supernatural drama, Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments. ... (more)
