Description: Edu Guedes is a Brazilian chef, television presenter and automobile driver. Professionally, he entered gastronomy in 1996, with the project of a gourmet ice cream shop in the Moema neighborhood, in São Paulo, which served exclusive delicacies. At the end of the 1990s, Edu was a collaborator on the program Mulheres, with Claudete Troiano on TV Gazeta. In 2001, Edu Guedes was invited by Claudete Troiano to participate in the program Note and Anote, on Rede Record. For three years, I prepared different dishes and put all my knowledge into practice, both in the studio and in external areas. In 2004, at the invitation of Paulo Henrique Amorim, he became part of the program Tudo a Ver (Rede Record) with the show Tá na Mesa. During this period in front of television, he went out into the field to make reports that showed cuisine on the streets and everyday Brazilian food. Also on Rede Record, in August 2005, he began to form the trio of presenters of the program Hoje em Dia, alongside Ana Hickmann and Britto Júnior (and later Celso Zucatelli, Chris Flores and Gianne Albertoni). Some time later the trio became a quartet, with the presence of Chris Flores.
On May 2, 2009, the program Receita para Dois premiered on the Record News channel. In December 2014, his departure from Hoje em Dia was announced. Edu was the only permanent presenter who had remained on the attraction since its debut.
In 2015, Edu Guedes left Rede Record and signed with RedeTV!, together with Celso Zucatelli and Mariana Leão, to present Melhor pra Você, a morning show with a format similar to Hoje em Dia. In 2018 he won a solo project on the station, Edu Guedes e Você, which replaced Melhor Pra Você. He resigned from the station in August 2020, moving to Band. In September 2020, he was confirmed as a new hire at Rede Bandeirantes, and debuted on September 21 at the helm of The Chef alongside his daughter Maria Eduarda and chef Cidinha Santiago. Guedes would stay at the broadcaster until 2024, when he decides to return to RedeTV!.
In addition to being a presenter, he is a car driver in the Porsche GT3 Challenge competition. ... (more)
