Kostbar co-produced Godspeed, "One of the best Indie Films of the year (Film Threat)" and winner of the Jury Award at the 2009 CineVegas Film Festival. Lightyear Entertainment distributed the film later that year.

Kostbar was the writer/producer of the film, The Hammer, "A hidden gem" by the Los Angeles Times; based on the life of Deaf UFC fighter, Matt Hamill. The film premiered at AFI Fest and won The Breakthrough Audience Award. The film went on to win seven more high profile film festivals awards (including the Heartland Film Festival) and was released theatrically in 2011 by D&E Entertainment and DVD/VOD by Arc Entertainment.
He later produced The Aggression Scale, which premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival and was released in 2012 by Anchor Bay.
Kostbar went on to produce Free Samples, with notable cast, Jesse Eisenberg, Jason Ritter and Tippi Hedren, as well as, cinematographer, Reed Marano; recipient of the Kodak Vision Award. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2012 and was recently released by Starz.
Most recently, he produced the international production, The Thompsons, a sequel to cult classic, The Hamiltons. The film was directed by The Butcher Brothers and was released by Lionsgate and Imagination Worldwide.
Kostbar is in post-production on his first feature documentary, Fight Church, directed by Academy Award Winner, Daniel Junge and Bryan Storkel.
In addition to his film pursuits, Kostbar has produced web series, web branded videos and music videos for companies such as Hulu, YouTube, Funny or Die, dumbdumb, College Humor, Break Media, Warner Bros Records, Epic and XIX Entertainment.
