Antonia Fraser is our guide through an odd lot of historical memorabilia - from medieval ivories, Richard the Lion-hearted's signet ring, and Queen Elizabeth's horoscope, to Robert Burns's punchbowl. The unifying theme is the spark of interest engendered by the beauty, oddity, and history of the antiquities. The highlight of this department of the Museum is the Sutton Hoo treasure.
