Description:
While studying art in the Soviet Union, Akram sees news footage of a car bomb exploding on a crowded city street of his hometown, Beirut. After hearing that the explosion killed several people and injured many others, Akram becomes concerned for his friends and relatives and quickly returns home to Beirut. At first critical of the violent civil war that is tearing apart his homeland, Akram is an outsider who witnesses the chaos all around him as people are shot down in the street both in broad daylight and in the dark of night.
