Based on the manga by Tohru Fujisawa, the broadcast series Tokko (2006) is the tale of a failed alchemical experiment that's darker than anything the Elric brothers could imagine. Five years earlier, Ranmaru Shindo and his sister Saya survived an attack that killed nearly everyone in their apartment complex, including their parents.
