Fred Olen Ray directs this violent, low-budget supernatural horror. When six archaeology students travel into the desert to dig around a Native American burial ground they inadvertently unleash the evil spirit of the Black Claw (Richard Hench). The ancient sorcerer possesses one of the students and uses their body to begin a bloody killing spree.
