Oscar Cabos, (Pedro Armendariz Jr.) a multimillionaire tycoon and one of the most powerful men in Mexico, is being held for ransom only his captors Nico (Gustavo Sanchez Parra) and Botcha (Raul Mendez) have grabbed the wrong man. Now, to get their money, they must find the real Cabos, fast which could be a problem since he's been kidnapped by his future son-in-law, Jaque (Tony Dalton). The person that Nico and Botcha have taken, is Cabos's childhood friend (now his janitor), Nacho, who was impersonating him at the time he was grabbed. Oh and Nacho just happens to be the father of Nico one of his kidnappers... To make matters worse, the two desperate friends who started this mess must rely on the less-than-delicate street savvy of former wrestler Mascarita and the pint-size Tony "The Cannibal" to sort it all out.
MATANDO CABOS follows the real group of kidnappers as they learn they have the wrong man and go on a hunt to locate the real Oscar Cabos, and the two friends desperately trying to return the real Cabos safely back to his home without endangering their own lives. A retired Mexican wrestler, a noisy parrot, and an epic car crash involving an Audi crashing into the largest stadium in the world, create a world of crazy situations that will affect all the characters in one night.
