Después de la trágica muerte de su madre, dos hermanas gemelas Ágata y Catalina desarrollan una forma de comunicarse sin hablar, una especie de telepatía entre ellas. Después de un misterioso accidente en el kilómetro 31, Ágata entra en coma. Debido a su fuerte conexión, Catalina siente el dolor de la tragedia.
