Director Yasuchika Nagaoka moves everything at a frantic pace, trying to disguise the characters' utter lack of personalities. Godannar plays like an unsuccessful attempt to blend Evangelion, Bubbblegum Crisis, and Daphne in the Brilliant Blue: even the mecha jiggle in some shots.
