Gerontology: Meeting Mental Health Needs - Region 0

Using the five steps of the nursing process as the framework, this program discusses normal and abnormal mental health changes of aging and demonstrates guidelines for interventions. After presenting techniques for performing a mental health assessment, potential problems are examined, including depression, confusion, and dementia. Interventions demonstrated are directed to improvement o self-concept, sensory training, reality orientation and remotivation therapy.
