Eddie the Eagle is an upcoming British-American sports comedy drama film directed by Dexter Fletcher and produced by Matthew Vaughn, Adam Bohling, David Reid, Rupert Maconick and Valerie Van Galder. The film stars Taron Egerton as Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards, a British skier who in 1988 became the first competitor to represent Great Britain in Olympic ski jumping. The film also stars Hugh Jackman and Christopher Walken, with a script by Simon Kelton and Sean Macaulay.[1] The film is scheduled to be released on April 29, 2016, by 20th Century Fox.
