Cold Fusion - Region 0
In March, 1989, Stanley Pons of the University of Utah and Martin Fleischmann of England's Southhampton University announced that they had achieved fusion at room temperature. Their claim surprised the scientific community and many research facilities attempted to duplicate their results with varying degrees of success. This film, produced by the Electric Power Research Institute, discusses how the experiments are conducted and why the results are so difficult to reproduce and verify. The program also discusses the implications for the future of power generation for the observed phenomena prove to be caused by cold fusion.
