The emperor (Chang Cheng) and the princess (Faye Wong) are bored of palace life, they sneak out of the palace themselves. One day, the princess bumps into a brother (Tony Leung) and a sister (Vicki Zhao), and falls in love with the brother at first sight. However the princess who is dressed up as a young gentleman is attracting the sister. Meanwhile, the emperor falls into the sister, just as things become more and more complicated....
