Culled from more than 160 hours of footage of more than 130 stories, 24 HOURS ON CRAIGSLIST (USA, 2004, 76 min) presents "a colourful human mosaic... [with] personalities as engaging as they are diverse," says Dennis Harvey of Variety.
With no advertising and only word-of-mouth promotion, Craigslist is truly a grassroots phenomenon. Following that lead, the filmmakers drew everything from the cast and crew to the soundtrack from postings on Craigslist itself. 24 HOURS ON CRAIGSLIST is, in the words of its director, "a film about a community done by community."
