A significant period in the modern history of the Drietom brass band was the 1950s, when Mr. Pavol Stopka began teaching young musicians in Drietom and thus another brass band was established in Drietom. With Drietomanka, whom he led artistically, he started a new era of brass music in Slovakia. The conductor of Drietomanka was Ivan Husár.
