Description: Demond Wilson was born on October 13, 1946 in Valdosta, Georgia, USA. was an American actor, author, and minister best known for portraying Lamont Sanford on the groundbreaking 1970s NBC-TV sitcom series "Sanford and Son". He later portrayed Oscar Madison on the ABC-TV sitcom The New Odd Couple (1982–1983) and appeared in the film Me and the Kid (1993). Demond grew up in New York City, where he studied tap dance and ballet. He made his Broadway debut at age four and danced at Harlem's Apollo Theater at age 12.
