David Nalbandian was born in the small city of Unquillo in Córdoba Province , Argentina .His mother is of Italian descent and his father is of Armenian descent.He became a professional tennis player at the age of 18.He was runner-up at the 2002 Wimbledon Championships and the winner of the Tennis Masters Cup in 2005.He has also won two Masters 1000 events and reached the semifinals or better at all four Grand Slam tournaments.
