Bednar (David Allan Bednar, born June 15, 1952) is a prominent leader in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), where he serves as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. In this role, he is recognized by the church as a prophet, seer, and revelator. Career and Education Bednar earned degrees from Brigham Young University and a doctorate from Purdue University. He was a business management professor at Texas Tech and the University of Arkansas, where he was also an associate dean.
