She was a regular singer at a circuit of notable venues in New York City, including Studio 54 where she performed rock and jazz for several events when she was 7-years-old. She went on to play "Norma Jean" in the pre-Broadway performances of the musical "Marilyn - An American Fable". Danielle recorded on Diana Ross' album, "Swept Away", and the Eddie and the Cruisers (1983) soundtrack. She performed alongside some of her rock heroes in an ensemble at Live Aid at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia, and on two occasions, she tore up rock 'n' roll solos for a packed and enthusiastic crowd at the Apollo Theatre in New York City, appearing on Showtime at the Apollo (1987). Throughout her teens, she garnered strong reviews for her work off-Broadway and on screen. At age 15, Danielle was nominated for a Drama Desk award for her Broadway debut performance in the original Broadway production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Aspects of Love", for which she also performed at the Tony Awards ceremony.
A stage actress in her early teens, she played "Norma Jean" in the workshop production of the Broadway musical, "Marilyn". Later, she got good reviews for her supporting role in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Aspects of Love".
