Colin Steele McRae, MBE (5 August 1968 – 15 September 2007) was a Scottish rally driver born in Lanark.
McRae died on 15 September 2007, when his helicopter crashed 1 mile north of Lanark, Scotland, close to the McRae family home. McRae was piloting the helicopter at the time of the crash. McRae's five year old son Johnny, and two family friends, Graeme Duncan and Johnny's six year old friend Ben Porcelli, died alongside him in the crash.
