Clayton Moore was an American actor best known for playing the fictional western character the Lone Ranger from 1949 to 1952 and 1953 to 1957 on the television series of the same name and two related movies from the same producers. During World War II, Moore enlisted in the United States Army Air Forces, and served in the First Motion Picture Unit making training films, such as "Target-Invisible", in which he co-starred with fellow actor Arthur Kennedy.
