Vincent Anton Freeman, also known by his assumed identity of Jerome Eugene Morrow, is one of the main characters in the 1997 science fiction movie, Gattaca. He is portrayed by Ethan Hawke.

Unlike most children in his time, where eugenics is common, he was conceived without genetic selection by his parents Antonio and Marie Freeman. He was diagnosed with many problems as a child, due to many genetic defects; his doctors said that he would only live up to around the age of 30.

His parents, regretting their decision, use genetic selection to give birth to their next child, Anton, who surpassed Vincent in many aspects when the two were young. Growing up, the two brothers often play a game of "chicken" by swimming out to sea with the first one turning back to shore considered the loser. Vincent always loses.

Vincent dreams of a career in space travel but is discriminated against because of his genetic inferiority.
