The Maker

A vampire who is, based on the harpsichord in his possession, many hundreds of years old. He controls a nest of vampires very tightly, cutting off their contact with the outside world, and they follow him with something close to worship as he believes he is a god. He uses the nest to run a vampirate operation, targeting rich sailing vessels for food and profit.
Around 50-years ago, one of his nest - Benny Lafitte - fell in love with Andrea Kormos, one of the potential victims, and leaves the nest. The Maker tracked them to Louisiana along with Quentin and Sorento hunt them down. While his Maker tears out Andrea's throat, saying he will "bleed her dry", the others behead Benny. The Maker changes his mind and turns Andrea into a vampire. She remains part of his nest and his vampirate operation.
