Shuten Doji

Shuten Doji is a mythological Japanese figure who has mixed origins and stories regarding his character. He is famously known as a fierce king of ogres, an incarnation which was conceptualized during the Heian period. In this romanticized version, he and his minions are feared as ravenous beasts who devoured people. This Shuten Dōji was cleverly slain by a legendary hero of the time era.
