Sara Ryder

Sara Ryder is a fictional character and the female protagonist of the video game Mass Effect: Andromeda. The daughter of Alec Ryder, Sara signed up with the Andromeda Initiative together with her father and twin brother Scott, obtaining a part in the Pathfinder team chosen to find humanity a home in the distant Andromeda galaxy 600 years into the future. Her father Alec was supposed to be humanity's Pathfinder, but the title is unexpectedly passed on to Sara after Alec's mysterious disappearance.

The protagonist of Mass Effect: Andromeda is, depending on player choice, either Sara or Scott Ryder. Both Ryder twins are inexperienced recruits who remain a part of the game's plot even if they are not selected as the main character.
