Samantha Nishimura

Samantha "Sam" Nishimura is an American filmmaker and Lara Croft's best friend. She serves as the Director/Translator for the documentary about the search for Yamatai.

Her mother is Portuguese, and her father is Japanese, his ancestors having escaped from Yamatai prior to Himiko's fall.

She is a central character to the plot of Tomb Raider.
