Riya was the twin sister of Yuka and daughter of Emperor Sagong, ruler of Shen in the farthest east of Middle-Earth. Before the War of the Last Alliance began, She and her sister were tasked by their father to Mordor for conquest. There, she and Yuka stood together in waging a war against Adûnaphel and Akhôrahil whose armies they defeated and whose rings they took for themselves. Upon return to Shen, they were welcomed back to a grand triump, though she and her sister soon became corrupted by the influence of the rings of power. They overthrew their father and assumed control of his throne. Ultimately they became servants of Sauron, who led them back to Mordor.
