Dr. Otto Gunther Octavius, also known as Doctor Octopus, is the main antagonist of the PlayStation 4 video game Marvel's Spider-Man. He is voiced and motion captured by William Salyers.

Otto is a friend and mentor of Peter Parker, who serves as his lab assistant. A highly intelligent scientist, Otto was once the co-founder of the mega-corporation Oscorp. However, he decided to leave when the other founder, his former best friend Norman Osborn, became obsessed with unethical experiments. Otto went on to start his own company, Octavius Industries, which relies on grants due to financial difficulties. There, he and Peter are on the verge of developing highly advanced prosthetic limbs.

Otto's hatred of Norman, who is now the Mayor of New York and CEO of Oscorp, is reignited when the Norman forcibly withdraws government funding for Octavius Industries in an attempt to coerce Otto into working for Oscorp. Motivated to get his revenge on Norman after suffering a mental breakdown, Otto eventually transforms into the villainous Doctor Octopus, and forms the Sinister Six as part of his violent master plan to destroy Norman and his empire.
