Old Yeller is a runaway yellow labrador in a book and film of the same name, who befriends a young farm boy named Travis.

When Old Yeller causes damage in one of their fields, Travis tries to drive him away. However, Travis and his mother Katie both warm to Old Yeller when he saves her other son Arliss from a bear attack.

As Travis and the brave and faithful dog grow closer, concern grows about an outbreak of rabies.
