Background and Characteristics

The gorgeous Princess Neytiri (known simply as “Neytiri”) is a female alien that made her first appearance in the movie, Avatar. Played by the lovely Zoe Saldana, Neytiri is portrayed in the movie as a Na’vi princess living within the forests of Pandora. In the movie, Neytiri is characterized as the second-born daughter of Eytukan and Mo’at, and later becomes a key ally of the human, Jake Sully, serving as his teacher, friend, lover, and eventual mate. After eventually falling in love with Sully, the pair decide to take a dramatic stand against Miles Quaritch and his military aspirations, delivering a fatal blow to the would-be dictator during the infamous “Assault on the Tree of Souls.” Following their victory, Neytiri later becomes the Tsahik (spiritual leader) of her clan, with Jake serving as the newfound Olo’eyktan (clan leader).
