Mark "Mute" Chandar

Mark "Mute" Chandar is a Defending Operator featured in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. He has medium armour and mobility, and is equipped with four GC90 "Moni" Signal Disruptors which jam communications for remotely detonated gadgets such as breach charges or drones.

Born in York, England, on 11 October 1991. Chandar graduated from secondary school at the age of twelve as a science prodigy, being accepted into the University of Cambridge, Department of Engineering at age fourteen after completing an internship at a British tech company during his gap year. It was there that he worked on prototypes for a new security system. He later earned a Bachelor of Science and Engineering and a PhD in Electrical Engineering. A veteran of Britain's Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) unit, Mark Chandar’s exceptional work as a signals intelligence (SIGINT) specialist has made him a valuable addition to the SAS and later Rainbow.

Chandar is highly intelligent and analytical. He is used to being the youngest yet smartest in the room. Being a man of few words, he prefers brevity and clarity to extemporizing. As a result, his curt nature is usually misconstrued as rudeness.
