A temporally displaced loner, trying to atone for his past misdeeds and find where he belongs in this modern world. A 3000-year-old warrior, Merrick was one of the original heroes who fought against the Orgs. Having been asleep for 3000 years, Merrick awakes to find a world much different from the one he remembered. This, combined with a guilty conscience over his past misdeeds while under the curse of Zen-Aku, makes him a lone wolf. Refusing to hang out with the other Rangers as one of them, Merrick only comes to help them fight Orgs when the wind warns him. While not fighting Orgs, Merrick brushes up on his pool game at Willie’s Roadhouse- an out of the way diner where Merrick works as a bouncer.
