Mandrake

A Mandrake, also known as a Mandragora, is a poisonous plant that grows from the graves of guilty dead men. In legend, if pulled from the ground, it makes a sound like the scream of a dying child which is so horrible it either deafens or kills the person pulling it. It was generally used in all kinds of potions that promised amazing properties such as invulnerability, invisibility or immunity to the undead.
