Mafuyu Hinasaki

The elder brother of Miku Hinasaki, the main protagonist from the first Fatal Frame. Upon learning of Junsei Takamine's disappearance, Mafuyu takes it upon himself to enter the Himuro Mansion to find him. The player controls him in the prologue, but control is then switched to Miku after he is attacked by Kirie. Although Kirie usually kills her victims, Mafuyu is spared due to his striking resemblance to her old lover.

Although he died at the end of first Fatal Frame, Mafuyu married with his sister Makuyu in a ghost marriage and they had a daughter named Miu who also a protagonist of Fatal Frame V.
