Madrina

To curb Madre's curses, in the early seasons Jean Claude can rely on Madrina, played by Mauro Pirovano, who models herself on the fairy godmother; her advice, however, isn't as helpful as one might think. In most episodes, in fact, it's she who brings about his death: usually, her advice is too vague or too complicated for Jean Claude, who readily misunderstands it or proves inadequate to the task. Madrina often leads the baronet to inhospitable places in search of a better place to live, in search of an unspecified "Belisaria" (season three) or to seek help from a certain "Ras Tafari Implacable," a wise but wrathful entity; in these bizarre places, Jean Claude always meets an inglorious end. Over time, the character's appearances become less frequent.
