Liho was a black cat who hung out by Little Ukraine because of the attention Natasha Romanoff paid to her. She ironically named her Liho, meaning "misfortune" in Russian.
Although Natasha claimed Liho was not her cat, she grew attached to her new feline friend and told her stories about her missions. Despite initially stating that it was a mistake she wouldn't make twice, Natasha eventually let Liho into her apartment. When Natasha went on the run and camped out in the cabin of her her attorney Isaiah Ross's brother, she took Liho with her.
