Kali "Eight" Prasad Reviews

I wasn't expecting much from this flick but I thought it could be fun to watch with my step-son (he must have been 10 years old back then) and there was a small part by Paul Giamatti and blink-and-you-will-miss-it cameo by Keira Knightley. So, I had low expectations but, boy, it didn't expect it to be so bad. You have to give some credit to Rupert Grint who would reach worldwide fame later on with the Harry Potter franchise, as he does what he can with the material. I thought it was just so stupid, completely boring and actually rather insulting to think that kids would find this piece of turd fun to watch. I was always find it so annoying when adults make such condescending movies aimed at a young audience. 'We shouldn't make something too smart or complicated otherwise they won't get it....' Yeah, let's make instead a stupid movie about a fat kid making some giant farts, great move! To conclude, I thought it was pretty horrendous and it is definitely not worth a look, even if you have some young kids (make them watch anything made by Pixar instead).
