Originally from Bangor, Maine, where her fast glove and puck awareness earned her the nickname "The Cat". Julie joined the Ducks for the Junior Goodwill Games as their second goalkeeper, wearing the number 6.

She primarily uses stand-up style, but has shown that she can alternate to butterfly style if necessary. Because of her speed and efficiency, she poses as a major threat to offence-heavy opposing teams.
